Oof the long awaited news…we were officially moving to Korea. To rewind a little and share how we got here I have to start back in Colorado. We were stationed at Fort Carson, our first duty station since Jordan (my husband) joined. It was all we knew for the last 4 years. We had found out about a year prior that he had orders to Korea. We honestly thought it was a fluke! With delays, prior trainings setup and hopes of getting into Green to Gold or OCS; we surely thought it wouldn’t ACTUALLY happen. Fast forward to January 2024. Jordan was away at Sapper school and I was in Texas with the boys, so I could be with family while working remotely. I was anxiously searching for some answers to confirm if he got into Green to Gold or not. Our last detour plan before knowing for definite it was Korea. When I finally confirmed it with a Facebook group and his LT at the time that he was not accepted into the program I was shocked, confused, sad and also hopeful. Korea, we were REALLY going to Korea. Across the world, away from family and also on the biggest adventure yet. Jordan stayed focused at school and with having no contact it was easier for him to not know the news…just yet. Once he completed Sapper school and crushed it I might add he finally knew. The planning, chaos and anticipation began. Oh and did I mention at the time we were told we needed to be there by March, or so we thought. Wouldn’t be a PCS move without some stress ✨ am I right?
Truly Thankful, Tiff
